More than likely this is due to a resource conflict. The touch screen cannot share an IRQ with another device in your system configuration, even though the other device may support IRQ sharing. Your PC configuration must have a unique communication (COM) port and interrupt request (IRQ) available to assign to the Touch screen. Use the OS Device Manager to display and eliminate any resource conflicts.
